Welcome to Ola Luna Designs
To capture light in all its moods upon endless scenes and subjects just as waves roll on under the moonlight to be seen only if observed.
I was always intrigued by photography. I could spend hours scouring over mostly black and white images captured by family, trying to both see the forms and subjects as well as what was the story in the image.
Through my journey, photography has improved and progressed in form, format and accessibility, and become mechanically easier. In the film days, it wasn't practical or affordable to shoot 4 rolls of film every time a photo opportunity arose. And then one had to wait and pay to find out if any image was worth keeping or spend hours in the dark room trying to get one decent image out of a poorly exposed roll of film. For several decades it was the old garbage in garbage out days. I remember countless times, where I waited days to get film back from the processors only to find there were no photos due to various problems with the film.
Now, in the digital world, you can shoot images and see them in real time. It's now easy to review a shot and make instant adjustments to capture what one envisions the image to be.
The number of shots one can take is only limited by the size of the memory card.
But the game is the same. To see the sights that are revealed to me and to try to use the tools that I have to capture and preserve the image.
